What You Can Expect
Satellite Mission Design Project
Gain hands-on experience in developing innovative small spacecraft missions in high-priority areas of space science. You will be part of designing a sophisticated and true-to-life satellite with a dedicated scientific mission that reflects current opportunities and priorities identified by NASA each year.
Community-oriented program
While the distance learning program is conducted online, we strive to create a welcoming, tight-knit community for all students. Your cohort will have dedicated channels for peer-to-peer and staff interactions, and one week in the summer semester will be spent on campus for the satellite mission design project.
Personalized curriculum
A variety of exciting courses are available to you online. That includes subject areas like general engineering, design, and simulation and analysis. Outside of your requirements, you can choose the electives that best fit your goals and interests.
Convenient accommodations
Beyond live and online learning options, local proctors will be assigned to conduct exams when and where it’s convenient to you. For all other assignments submitted online, feedback will be provided in the same way to ensure you keep pace with the rest of the program.
